If you need any form of Mental Capacity Assessment, we've got you covered. We offer a range of assessments, including COP3s, PA14s, revocation, retrospective and even litigation reports. We support one-off and specific decisions. We provide court-compliant capacity reports, and this is usually completed in the comfort of your own home.

Our consultants are trained to UK court standards, and we work closely with our legal consultants to ensure our knowledge remains up to date. We also teach and train healthcare and legal professionals on mental capacity, and we are proud to maintain a 100% acceptance rate for our assessments. We frequently receive feedback from counsel and judges on the quality of our reports. Some of us have been mentioned in case law by appeal judges for our positive and proactive approach. Mental Capacity Assessments

As experts in NHS Continuing Healthcare (CHC) and Section 117 of the Mental Health Act 1983, we provide specialist support if you need to challenge an NHS funding decision or unlawful local authority care charges. We assist with independent CHC Checklists and provide representation at Decision Support Tool (DST) meetings, or at every appeal stage, including NHS England. If you wish to challenge your Aftercare under the Mental Health Act 1983, we can offer a review of your case and support any challenge to the funding authorities.

If you or a family member has been wrongly denied NHS health funding or faced unlawful council care charges, our regulated professionals can help secure your entitlements. Our services are flexible, and we can offer one-off support or a comprehensive appeals service. We provide expert evidence at Local Resolution Panels (LRP) and NHS England appeal hearings. We have successfully recovered hundreds of thousands of pounds in unlawful charges, including £250,000 in a single case.

Challenge and Appeal Service

We provide Health and Welfare services as Professional Attorneys* and Court Appointed Deputies*. You can ask us to act for you under a Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA), or we're happy to discuss us acting as proposed deputies* in an application to the Court of Protection. If you are looking for a Property and Financial Affairs attorney or deputy, we have a great link with several specialist solicitors, and we are happy to make an introduction with them. As we're care experts, we do not offer a Property and Financial Affairs service at this time.

Only our senior consultants undertake this work; all have at least 10 years post-qualifying experience in health and social care. We can act for life, and our team undertake this role as professional individuals (rather than a corporate appointment), which means we'll be your named Care Consultant for Life, or the duration of the LPA or Deputyship Order.

* If we agree to act as your professional attorney or we are granted deputyship by the Court of Protection, we will always recommend and can provide at least two named registered professionals.

Our accredited ParentAssess trained social workers will undertake a high-quality, high-standard ParentAssess report. 100% of our reports will meet the PA Service Quality Mark. We can accept instructions from parents, solicitors acting for a parent(s) or on behalf of the Local Authority.

As expert ParentAssess practitioners, we've chosen to specialise in our chosen area of practice, so we do not provide generic PA assessments; rather, we're the go-to experts for those parents living with mental health issues, neurodivergent needs, or dual diagnosis. We can recommend a range of other ParentAssess practitioners who may be able to meet your service needs, but when you need a specialist expert, you're in the right place.
